The speech in these kind of films is interesting, it's always a wake up call when you see a film that pays attention to speech- Hollywood trains actors to erase accents and to project. It's an area that should be focused on more by filmmakers.

The way his characters interact is interesting, little gestures, everyday gestures, etc- it's strange that his films are compelling,I thought the main character from his first film captured a type of feeling yet to be seen on film.

ive watched this film.
i want films that take me somewhere new. i didn't learn anything from it, i don't think it dealt with any issues productively or realistically which is its main problem, even though it references realist film.
its simply looks like someone who likes super 8 cameras indulging himself, without making a film that deals with issues that he justifies its form with.
life can be boring but I'm not gonna watch a film just so i can feel bohemian and one with the avant garde :P.

this man is the real deal. MA was like watching a new wave film. low budget, no name actors, generic or simple plot but it has a soul. This is cinema (not to be confused with a blockbuster)
