TODD RUNDGREN AND UTOPIA LIVE AT LEVON HELM STUDIOS IN WOODSTOCK NEW YORK JULY 3 1981. THIS WAS ORIGINALLY BROADCAST OVER THE RADIO THROUGH NBC NETWORKS. STORY HAS IT THAT ONLY ABOUT 100 FANS WERE ALLOWED IN THE STUDIO FOR THIS BROADCAST AND THERE WERE AT LEAST ANOTHER HUNDRED LISTENING OUTSIDE THE STUDIO. i HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO LOCATE ANY PHOTOS FROM THIS EVENT SO IF ANYONE HAS ANY PUT THEM UP!

He had a deluxe model, but you should be able to get yours to sound like that. Remember to run your guitar straight into the flanger not like you would in a traditional chain. and set your rate I'm guessing here but you want it somewhat fast, about 10 oclock, range around 11oclock and the color all the way around at 7 oclock. Listen to "Shinola" from swing to the right, you can hear the flanger sweep really good on that tune to know where you should set it.

mojorisen, do you think Todd is only using the EH ElectricMistress in his signal chain? The reason I ask is because I can't get my 1976 model Mistress to sound like this. Grrr.

I was at this show! There WERE about a hundred people there; it was in Levon Helm's house, before it burned down and was re-built, long before his Midnight Rambles. We had won 2 tickets from a call-in to WNEW FM in NYC; had to go to the local Woodstock newspaper office  to get the tix and the secret location of the show. The Good News: The music from this show exists and is out there, and the quality is amazing. I just found it very recently.
