It seems like Asian cinema is going back to the making awesome horror films. Asian Horror was ruling with films like: The Eye, A Tale of Two Sisters, Phone, Shutter, One Missed Call, Re-cycle, Alone, Ju-on, Ringu and Dark Water. They hit a slump with movie after movie of the long-haired female ghost claiming victims. They have recaptured the spotlight with films like: Epitaph, Hansel & Gretel and Death Bell. The Coffin looks awesome. It is nice to see the gorgeous Karen Mok in a serious role.

Let’s be honest Asian cinema has ruled horror films since the later 90's. Creating innovative and changing the face of what horror movies would be, while the US directors and movie companies copy and purchase the rights to Asian cinema to reproduce in the US. Movies such as Phone, The Wig (fake hair - scary), One Missed Call, Ringu,I can go on. Why not release these films in the US and dub the movie or better yet we in the US need creative writing and movies studios welcome new horror ideas.
