Good Food Ireland where at the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby event at the Curragh, Co.Kildare. It was all about combining the best of Irish food with the best of Irish racing, says Margaret Jeffers, Managing Director of Good Food Ireland. With Derek Davis, chairman of the Failte Ireland Food & Tourism Group commenting the highly tempting and tasty food that was on offer, the day was a big success. The day helped the Failte Ireland aim of selling and promoting Ireland as a food holiday destination. Tony Lenehan, Head of Food, Hospitality and Standards at Failte Ireland, backed this up with the ongoing development of a food tourism strategy within the organisation. With strong praise from veteran RTE news presenter Tracy Piggott, everyone had a great day and a great 'food experience'
