The title should be "demontsrating heeling on a trained dog", I see no puppy on the video.

That's not a boxer.

It doesn't matter what side your dogs walk on according to some experts.

The negative comments here are off base. He is training Luther. And doing it so well it seems like he isn't. notice how the attention wanders, how the dog learns to follow.
He is very good.
Some think the tug inhumane, but his quick tug is more communication, less aggression.

Lex Luther has already been trained!!!! He's already a 'GOOOD BOOOOY!' That teaches me NOTHING!!!! I I'll give you Grrrrrrrrr!!!

@rickymuscle and also you are not supposed to jerk the leash. it makes you the "bad" guy and pretty soon the dog will associate that negative movement with you. that is not good. i was surprised when he kept doing that over and over again.

i am definitely NOT training my dog this way
you almost strangled him at 2'13"
it would be nicer if you showed an UNTRAINED dog...

Please do not be confused! He says he is "constantly using positive reinforcement" but in fact he uses very little. Training your dog without a choke collar (and in fact, completely off leash) is just as easy and a whole lot easier on your dog. Also, notice how he uses a fully trained dog in his video... I'd like to see him get the same heeling results with a 12-week-old puppy!
