Why is it that every old song on Youtube has some kid pointing out how young he is? We don't care how long ago your parents made bad decisions, we really don't. Just enjoy the music.

Do we have to have this obnoxious superiority on every video? There are loads of young people who love great music. Yes, teenagers tend to like more superficial stuff, but that's normal, and part of growing up. Nothing is going extinct, bands like The Beatles are still huge amongst young people. These young people are the equivalent of those who loved "My Boy Lollipop" and the like.

Just enjoy the music, and stop thinking listening to it makes you better than everyone else.

Don't be too hard on them...they just want to reassure us that there are a few young people out there who know that today's "pop" music is tasteless, mediocre, mindnumbing; that their generation is being "forcefed" this junk by exploitative business interests and convinced that it is "great music" (both words are oxymoronic in this case). These discerning commenters deserve commendation!
