  • The arguement could be made that HAD NOT Jimmy Page stolen from Bert Jansch we would not be talking about Bert today.Unfortunately, HAD NOT Jimmy Page stolen from Bert Jansch we probably would not be talking about Jimmy Page either.Practically the entire first album was stolen from Bert, Anne Breden,Jake Holmes,Willie Dixon,Eddie Cochran,Traffic "Dear Mr. Fantasy" and would not exist without their efforts.

  • I don't care if Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page stole that or something and I don't want to argue... I think music is more important and that's great music. R.I.P. Bert

  • I will give one example:You can't do a version of "in my time of dying" (which they did amazingly well,of course),without mentioning Blind Willie Johnson,or at least stating that it is a traditional blues song...same goes for Black Waterside. It's a traditional folk song ,Jimmy Page should have stated that instead of crediting it entirely to himself.I forgive him for copying Bert's style,as I think he must've admired him.I am a fan of Led Zeppelin.

  • @gio73vanna ive never understood people saying that led zeppelin plagiarizes, jimmy page constantly talked about how influential bert jansch was to him... most of these songs i already knew were covers and were common knowledge, a few were old folk songs that would have to be traced through several artists. Babe Im gonna leave you was covered, jimmy page said that he heard it in a concert.

  • beautiful guitar playing and singing cant believe jimmy ripped it off to that extent

  • @USgovernmentLies I agree with all that,I'm a fan of LZ myself.I just wonder why,I guess. It's unprofessional of them.I don't think they would've had it done to them so easily.Besides, being influenced by someone is one thing, plagiarism is another.

  • Totally agree,it's a shame.I was pretty devastated myself. Not to mention all the other stuff they copied, all without crediting anyone.

  • Another great one gone ty for the music...

  • RIP Bert

  • R. I P Bert. Happy Memories.
