Are you always sleepy and seem to be fighting to stay awake on the job or while driving your car? Researchers say not getting enough sleep is an epidemic - at least 50 percent of people are sleepy at some point during any given week. Doctors at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, are learning that sleep deprivation negatively impacts the brain. Barb Cramer has the story in this Vanderbilt video news release.

    I hear you, I have the same problem, I always find the most annoying side effect to be that my eyes constantly feel like they are burning. I've been through the sleep labs and I didn't find them to be much help. Im Canadian so the lab studies were free.

  • I wish I could sleep, I want to slam my head aginst the wall as hard as I can, I feel like shit, and I can't live like this anymore.. but I can stay up for 24hrs, be very tired, by body hurts.. and I lay there, can't sleep.. wtf is wrong with me. I wonder if I have sleep apnea..Does insurance cover sleep labs o.0

    Stress and extreme lack of sleep have made me physically sick, irritable and moody, headaches, i can't focus at all, and so much more..
