We took out a small air compressor from a dead battery pack. put a valve into pipe that goes to pressue gauge so when cylinder reaches to top, pushes pin of the valve and opens for pressured air coming from other pipe... crank moves the copper wire and pushes the valve, to deff. the steam which was originally used by compressor to intake the air...
Basically you need a valve to send pressured steam when cylinder reaches to top, use the excisting valve to relase the air while cylinder is moving up.
Then you need a flywheel to continue that movement.
We used empty propane tank to make steam. But we changed its security valve's spring and now it can reach max 25 psi. If you dont change it it holds way over 100 psi. it is very risky if you dont. We drilled and make it possible to put a water inside. 10psi is enough to run that engine.
Camp fire or gasifier wood stove will be boiling that tank to run the steam engine.

  • the inside of a compressor is a ready made engine with piston, gaskets, cylinder, crankshafts and all other things a normal internal combustion engine do have

  • @OSAMAxxxxxxxxxxyz didnt get your point. Do you mean it is a ready hook up and just installation needed to make a steam engine ? I never met anyone who does not know that piston is pumping the air. If you wanna help viewers sharing your knowledge please explain how the valve is releasing the compressed steam in the right moment since there is not any openable valve, cam and timing belt to to open it up at the right location of piston. Thanks for the comment.

  • i wish you were my grandpa

  • @caletcalet that is my dad in the video lol. he is 58 y. old so Yes he may be called a grandpa. lol

  • Great Job!! It would be nice to see it with the magnets and coil (load). Thanks for sharing!! 5 stars!!

  • @kmdental36

We will have a steam engine using a scooter or a large air compressor engine. It will be a real deal for generating enough torque to install coil and magnets lol.

  • did anybody else double check when they saw the propane tank on the stove?

this is an awesome vid btw great job!

  • awesome!! I want to use this on my solar concentrator..

  • @ppsjsh for us important thing was not changing compressor permanently. We were expecting that engine to have very low torque. So it was just an experiment. Otherwise it would be much more easy to make a steam engine making permanent changes. the most difficult part is to get stable low PSI from steam tank. After that video we assembled and got it worked as a compressor again.

  • great job, five stars. i have an old compressor like the one you have. can u do a vid with in-depth details on this? i searched and cant find anything on how to do this. thanks
