Conclusion of title match of the 1978 AMF Grand Prix of Bowling. In this four-man, three-match stepladder finals, 4th seed Nelson Burton, Jr. defeats 3 seed George Pappas and 2 seed Earl Anthony to meet Mark Roth in the final match. Seen here is the conclusion of that match. Jim Simpson on play-by-play. Jay Robinson on color. Dec. 16, 1978.
Great post, as usual. These are names unknown to most bowlers today, and that's unfortunate. Wish there was more on Barry Asher!

Thanks for the upload. I was working the desk at MGM Lanes in Reno during this tournament. Do you happen to have the women's part of the show? I remember Tim Matheson was traveling with Bo to do research on the tour life for his upcoming movie "The Dreamer". One of the worst films ever made, by the way.
