i'm confused. using Norm Abrams videos to sell plans? nothing on the site selling the plans mentions Abrams. does he know this guy is using him to sell project plans?
@dewaltpowertools I admit I have worked with the safety guard off most of my life, and the only accident I have ever had was on a saw with the guard on. I just always feel safer if I can see the blade clearly, where as after a while, my acrylic guard hazed up. Maybe it's just a mental thing - maybe I'm mental - but I like to know exactly where the blade is at all times.
@Nabokov50 yeah dont get me wrong..hes very good and love his shows..infact i have most of his shows on dvd..think hes very entertaining..but the safety guard thing u say detailo more closely..i think not!!!he couldn't do the things he dose with the safety guard in place...so i do think he works with safety guard off...all the time!!.O_o
@dewaltpowertools He always said he was a power tool junkie, so he admits to not wanting to do much by hand. And the table saw safety guard removal was done to show detailo more closely. He also said not to do that during normal operation. Not that he needs to be defended ! *S*
hes good but would like to see him do more with his hands .and not powertools all the time..like example..dove tails joints and things..like a real craft man...lol he gets a powertool to make say a 3 inch cut.he dose nothing by hand..its all powertools..allso he works with no saftey gards on his table saw....but after all that..i do enjoy his programs on woodwork ))
