This stimulus is an ominous sign that Obambi will be a 1 TERM EPIC FAIL and will lose to Sarah Palin in 2012. This country does not need a stimulus and more government spending to help the global economy. No, the world needs Palinomics. Palinomics will have save the world economy, greater than Reaganomics and Clintonomics. Palinomics is blessed with the divine power of GOD HERSELF for Palin is GOD's CHOSEN ONE, GOD INCARNATE and the LIVING EMBODIMENT OF GOD HERSELF!

Best way to stimulate the economy is to vote scum like pelosi out of office. Hard working Americans? Those rebates are just political coupons. Notice how they left out unemployment extensions. They also were going to give rebates to illegal aliens. Maybe just maybe if someone would kick the aliens out unemployment would go down. Not likely in an election year though. Instead of tax breaks for china how bout tax breaks for MADE IN THE USA?

The best way to stimulate this economy is to go green BIG time. Solar power farms, wind power farms, hydro power, maglev hi-speed trains, huge biosphere greenhouses....
All of this a blend of public works projects and privatization. Tax breaks for: solar homes, electric cars, any non-fossil fuel transport. These projects would create a huge need for labor and capital. It will move us into the 21st century finally.

So our "recovery rebates" end up going to oil companies, because they are charging us so much for gasoline and fuel oil to begin with? Not to mention that we already subsidize them with our tax money while they make obscene profits. This is idiocy. Sometimes I truly despair.

Totally agree with you, Verified1. It's an endless cycle of an oil economy reaping immense profits which are used to influence an oil-based government which then funds and protects the oil economy. The best way to end it is to NEVER vote for anyone who takes a penny of oil money.
