Israel has finally responded to the many attacks by Hamas over the last several months.

Israel has every right to protect her citizenry. Hamas has over and over showed no interest in peace but only interest in destroying Israel.

Sadly, I fear that the new US administration sympathizes with Hamas and is no friend to Israel. I hope and pray Obama proves me wrong. But so far in just his first week, he has chosen evil over good every time. Such as permitting the use of taxpayer money to fund the slaughter of unborn children, ordering Gitmo closed within one year, and appointing socialists and tax cheats to key cabinet positions. We need to pray that God touches Obama and helps him to make wise decisions from now on.

Great post, this has been one of my greatest concerns with the Obama administration.

Look how he has already bent over backwards to appease Arabs and Muslims. Obama must realize the only way to truly appease them, so to cut Israel lose.

Israel supported Hamas they funded them for 20 years...

Israel may think it is good reasons although I note plenty of Israelis think it hasn't, but then I am sure a people who are after all still occupied, have water turned off, money, food and medicine withheld think they have good reasons for doing what they do.

after WW2, the allies wanted to give the jews land as a "we're sorry", so they gave them an area in palestine. here inlayed the problem. palestine was controlled by muslims, and muslims hate jews. their response was an attack on israel on day 1. the israelis had an ace in their sleeve though

Israel is founded on terrorism, it's no surprise others follow suit, especially when they had food, medicine, tax revenues, etc blocked for months.

Hamas has shown no interest in peace, but then neither has Israel, they pay it lip service, they make a show by moving out of Gaza, yet continue expanding settlements elsewhere, sticking up two fingers at peace.

The one time an Israeli leader looked serious about peace he was assassinated by the religious nuts that are a blight on that country.

I think he's talking about edadicating Hamas, not Islamic people.

While I'm taking Israel's side, there are many Palestinians who are peaceful people who can and want to co-exist with Jews. It's Hamas that is the problem.
