My ulnar nerve pops back and forth, incredibly sore, I am scared
-
this is because of bench pressing?

@Blenderate Hey Brother. Thank you for sharing your experience with us....I have just started to have ulnar nerve subluxation along with medial elbow pain..I am thinking of getting the surgery that you had....I am wondering how your healing has progressed and if you are still experiencing any symptoms/pain (near the surgical area or down in the hands) after 2 years...any guidance, and input would be greatly appreciated...

@zcarenow same thing started happening to me last year, then a couple weeks ago the tip of my ring finger went numb... its still numb. I'm going to go get it checked out before anything serious happens. You should do the same.

@Blenderate I think so but i have to make sure and i will show him some videos before i proceed to the surgery,he took me to some hand test which i easily past,he ask me if i feel numb or that pesky pins and needles,i don't have that,a little numbness maybe,i feel that the sensitivity of my pinkies and ring finger is around 70%,it's just a bit painful and i had a burnign sensation that goes under the elbow up to my upper back, sad thign is,both my hands are suffering from this.

i've noticed over the past year, my elbow is very sensitive. i think something is wrong with my ulnar nerve. i think it started when i lifted weights. i'm wondering what i can do exercise wise to get it fixed.
-
i am really sorry, blenderate; if i had the power; i would restore your arm

@missofficer2u I have full feeling now. It came back pretty rapidly after the surgery. The areas supplied by the ulnar nerve (pinky finger, left half of ring finger, and outside of the hand) had about 30% feeling, so not completely numb. They were not hypersensitive.

Hello, Hello, I had a simple decompression surgery in March and am trying to get
other peoples experiences and compare to my own. I actually have the grips and
pinch pins, which I was first introduced to during therapy. Any information you
can share would be greatly appreciated. Do you have full feeling in your hand?
If so, how long did it take? Was your hand numb, meaning you
couldn't feel anything at all or was it sort of hypersensitive?

hi im due for this surgery on the 19th of april can u tell me how much pain u were in and for how long afterwards because theyve only told me to get paracetamol. also how long does the surgery take and is it as bad as it looks because i am quite nervous now after seeing some of the videos on here but ive had the problem for 2 years now and im happy its finally getting sorted

I had a ulna nerve submuscular transposition this past August to relocate a pinched nerve that I had to deal with for 9 months. I have been going to occupational therapy since September. My flexion is getting better and my extension is good for now. I am a fitness instructor and personal trainer, so I haven't been able to work out for long time, and probably won't be able to until next year. All in all, I'm glad I had the surgery. I hope you get better soon, too.

Hi, how are you? specially after that surgery... I am getting ready to have the same surgery... could you share your experience... I am getting awfully nervous after seeing some of the videos here in utube..
-
Thats fantastic news!

@tim91276 I can't answer any questions about your specific condition; you have to talk to a doctor. I had only elbow pain, and I had a general anesthetic.

I'm 33 yrs old and have it in both elbows and i get severe pain in both elbows, wrists and shoulders...what causes the shoulder pain? did you have that same pain? did they put you under for the surgery? i am need surgery on both arms and am about to get the first one done. thanks
Hi Blenderate bro,i have an ulnar nerve problem for 2 months now,i went to my Doctor twice already and was given anti-inflammatory for both visit and it never heal the inflammation, recently he already told me that surgery will fix this problem,i don't knwo if thi is as severe as what you had but my doctor said, the surgery will only last like 15-20 mins, they will just cut the tunnel that is holding the ulnar nerve on my elbow, now my question is,how long it took to do your surgery?thanks

@K3vindust It sounds like your problem is less serious than mine. I think my surgery took 40-60 minutes.

About how long would u say it took for the feeling to come back? Was it a gradual thing or did it happen just out of the blue one day?
missofficer2u 8 months ago
@missofficer2u The feeling started coming back within a couple days after the surgery. It took about 3 weeks for it to get 90% better, and then a few more weeks to get all the way to 100%.

Also, was the
incision scar sore/sensitive for months? If so, how long would you say? Did you
get zingers if you pressed on the scar or surrounding area? Did you get pains
radiating down your arm to your hand? How long was the incision site swollen
for? How long did you use ice and how often? Do you or did you have a pulling
feeling on the back of your hand down your arm, like the tendon is tight and
needs to be stretched? Thanks
missofficer2u 8 months ago
@missofficer2u The scar was not sore or sensitive. The surgery area was totally numb, though. It's still a little numb, maybe 80% feeling when I touch the area. That took months to get better. No zingers. A little radiating pain, not much. It was swollen for about 2 months, IIRC. I iced off and on all day every day for the first few weeks. No pulling feeling or feeling of a tight tendon.
