On Saturday, Yemeni riot police shot dead a protester and injured at least five as thousands gathered in the capital Sanaa for a ninth day of protests. What are the risks of a political void in this volatile region?

  • ALthough very poor financially, Yemen is the most free country I've ever visited 20 yrs. ago. I love to hear the guys gathering in Yemen from the various regions of the globe, talking to one another. Its so funny. Each w/the dialects&mannerisms from whence they came....The Gulf, England, US/Canada. Only, after 91; not so many Yemeni-gulfers. These protests, all over, are about Money...somebody has all the money hoarded up, and the whole world is feeling it. These guys are at the bottom.Next?

  • Silly Yemenis. Don't they know the only way a brown person in a third world country can be free is to have his home destroy by American bombers and then to be kidnapped and waterboarded by NATO soldiers. Thats just how freedom works.

  • lemme get this right that guy says he started beating protestors because he wanted a peaceful change of government? so protect his brutal dictatorship he started beating protestors with a stick that has a nail in it?

    fascinating logic

  • @dyljor No. Actually I watch Glen only to figure out what Murdoch and Rove want. Some aspects of Sharia Law are good, some are as bad as those one finds in Leviticus and Deuteronomy. I was thinking more of that "Caliphate" where Jews, Christians and Muslims lived peaceably, side by side. Such a one as produced the great Muslim mathematicians, astronomers, doctors etc.

  • @AdventuresOfMrQuest

Seriously, people, WHO GIVES A FUCK?!

  • @dyljor ..your iq must be lower, how can anyone on one side of the world implement sharia when they're not even a superpower? also, whats it got to do with you what the revolutionaries want in THEIR countries? you should shut up and concentrate whats happening in your country, where democracy is nothing but a name, at least true democracy is being shown here on this vid, do us a favour mate and keep out of other peoples problems, which was created by the imperialist west.

  • @vladdrac88

Hey Vladdrac88. So this is what these revolutions all about- 1 establish a caliphate and 2- impose Sharia Law on the West.

Let me guess, you get your news and "opinions" from Glenn Beck and just like ALL of his viewers, I venture to say that the 88 part of your name represents your IQ. Actually, I suggest that you drop one 8 from your name, and that might be more representative of your IQ.

  • I know more about this situation than these guests decided to speak about.

  • I'd love to see Muslim students at universities in various countries create an electronic / computer simulation caliphate...establish lines of communication...organize ...publicize goals etc. :)
