what about doing 1 arm assisted pull ups on the machien? i do about 8-10 reps w/ each hand, 70lbs helping me
-
is it possble to do negatives with pullup style grip?
-
i did wrist assist pullup...then did 1 rep through out the day, everyday and in few weeks got the assisting arm down to elbow.now i can do negatives. one arm grabbing wrist helps alot n move down as u get stronger. my max normall pullups is 9-10 only

This is how I gained the ability to do 1 Arms. I didn't know there was a name for it. No one showed me or even told me about Negative 1 arm pull ups. I just kind of figured it out on my own. Very cool to see it's Known and used. It's the Best way to train for 1 Arms. Great Video!

practicing the OAC negative makes you better at doing it slow. I started dropping straight down but doing one arm isometrics also helps makes you go slower.
I can't understand why anyone would dislike this. This is excellent demonstration.
Jim, to get to the OAC, would it do to do weighted frenchies with less weights, or do you recommend normal weighted chins with heavier weights? I'm frenchie'ing ~18kg at 78kg, but 2 sets of 4 already takes a toll (frenchie pauses of 5 sec each phase). Reason is I can't find convenient means to carry anymore than what I have now.

@bigbossloke Thanks. Both methods can work, just find a way to make things harder with what you have. "We will find a way, or make one."

Great video mate, how long should u train these negatives for if u want to get the 1 arm pull up?
TheParm1990 1 year ago
@TheParm1990 train them until they feel strong for several reps. Then just give yourself a few days rest and try the OAC.

im at 80lbs for two solid slow reps and maybe 90-95 for one, i weight 170. would 110 be a good goal before starting negatives?
