i have just started learning, first thing i am learning is yaman
first day guruji said, two rules in yaman
only tivra ma, you cannot use shuddha ma
and "you cannot use sa re - like that in aaroh, only ni re, from sa you always go back
a month later i show this video to him, completely forgotten about this
the first thing he tell me
gala taiyar hai, but you cant break rules in classical singing

listen to kishori tai singing this very drut bandish!I am NOT DOWNGRADING this singer she has done a brilliant job but the gold standard is byKishori amonkar ji!
This young lady has fusesd the traditional style popularised by Gwalior and kirana paddhati and fused the style a beautiful style of her own and she jhas usesd sargamm very well, and also has bhava, but she gives prominance to shringar than bhakti!
Kishori at one stage has described her yaman as steeped in unworldly love/ devotion
