  • Hi, I like cold steel knives, but if you want something to measure up to Kizlyar, you would have to go for the San Mai III Japanese made one. Both knives their goods and bads. The Cold Steel keeps an edge better, but is very difficult to sharpen without proper tools. The Sheath of the Cold Steel knives are better than ours. The handle material they use is tough as hell, but no where near as comfortable to work with as the Elastron-G handle on the Kizlyar.

  • Is the handle spongy or firm?

  • Im looking for a midsized survival knife that I can keep stowed away in my B.O.B so that if the need arises I can fully depend on the knife for survival tasks in the bush or the urban enviroment. would this knife compare to the Coldsteel SRK?

  • I own one of these. They have good edge retention and the Elastron-G handle is slip resistant as well as tough?heavy duty. Highly recommended.
