Tears of joy and tears of sadness flooded Conseco Fieldhouse as Texas A&M grabbed the program's first national title. Parity is becoming more evident as new teams continue to make a run for the title.
Of course, Tuesday did not end the way Notre Dame wanted it to. Still, the Irish left Conseco Fieldhouse knowing their mistakes -- and more importantly, knowing most of them can be fixed next season.

When A&M's Colson got into first half foul trouble, A&M's spark dimmed sharply & ND surged ahead. Goes to show that A&M is going to greatly miss Colson next season. Bone & Gilbert will handle the post in Adams' absence, but who does A&M have to fill in for the graduated Colson? Will Carter slide over to assume point guard status & vocal floor leader, or will someone else emerge? In any event, replacing the indomitable & extroverted Sydney Colson may prove to be unachievable for A&M in 2011-12..
