Lourdes - France

Lourdes - Lourdes is a commune in the Hautes-Pyrénées department in the Midi-Pyrénées region in south-western France. Lourdes is a small market town lying in the foothills of the Pyrenees, famous for the Marian apparitions of Our Lady of Lourdes that are reported to have occurred in 1858 to Bernadette Soubirous. At that time, the most prominent feature of the town was the fortified castle that rises up from a rocky escarpment at its centre.

I went to Lourdes as a volunteer. Being a gay man, i thought they'd give me a hard time. I have never felt more accepted and appreciated anywhere in my life and i didn't need to change for them at all. It's a place of deep love and compassion and it was a magical place. Going back next year! :)

we went to Lourdes a few years back to thank God for giving us a heathly child after many complications at birth.... may all the people who go there... find what they are looking for and have peace in there lives,as what we have....
