Voyage Eclair à Saint-Pierre et Miquelon.mov

Remerciements aux St-Pierrais(es) et aux Miquelonnais(es) d'un superbe accueil, de la part d'un américain, francophone convaincu. Je resterai l'un de vos plus fiables promoteurs aux Etats-Unis. En cet hiver froid et gris, je vous propose quelques petits rayons de soleil que j'ai pu capter et apprécier lors de ma visite au début du mois d'octobre passé. ;-) Je vous souhaite toutes et tous, bonne année; santé, bonheur et prospérité pour l'Archipel et tous ses habitants!

Musique: J'ai mis la présentation sur de belles musiques qui m'inspirent. La première chanson s'intitule "Je m'en vais demain", chanté par le group Dan Ar Braz, tirée de l'album intitulé "A toi et ceux", sur le label Columbia. La seconde chanson s'intitule "Je suis né Outre-Mer" et c'est M. Henri Lafitte qui la chante. La chanson est tirée de la superbe compilation qui s'intitule "Anthologie de la Chanson à Saint-Pierre et Miquelon; Vent arrière", sur le label @rtschipel.

For my English-speaking family and friends - here's the info for the beautiful background music. The first song is "Je m'en vais demain," sung by the group Dan Ar Braz, from the album entitled "A toi et ceux", on the Columbia label. PS: there are puffins, dolphins, whales, and all sorts of sea birds to see here too, but they're mostly to be found on Miquelon, which I didn't have a chance to explore this time. Next time for sure. But the best part of visiting here is definitely the people. I received offers to 'go lobster fishing next time', or to attend a 'big family barbecue next time'. It's rare in this day and age to find this kind of openness. Saint-Pierre reminded me of the little seaside village in Scotland made famous by the movie "Local Hero".
