they are real dogs. The paintings are pieces that were commissioned by people, of their dogs. Every dog was living and breathing, probably getting into garbage too.

I just had to put my boy Samson to sleep after 9 years and 4 months. I stayed with him until his heart and breathing stopped, telling him how sorry I was and that I loved him. I never realized I could hurt this much and cry this hard. I will never forget him, but I am hoping the pain becomes less and less. I loved Sammy with all my heart. It is now truly broke in half. It was 3 days ago now. I know hes in heaven.

That's because all the paintings were created by me, Nancy Schutt. There is a credit at the end of the songs showing who wrote the songs and my website location, which youtube will not allow me to write here.
