The marvelous (and good-natured!)Beverly Sills and the pigs from the Muppet Show present the opera, "Pigoletto," straight from the Muppetopolitan Opera. The muppets enthusiastically slaughter arias from operas such as Carmen and Die Walkure, while Miss Sills sings "Sempre Libera" from La Traviata. Included is a high-note battle of the divas: Miss Piggy vs Miss Sills. One has to admire Frank Oz (as Miss Piggy) trying to out-sing Beverly Sills! (RIP, Beverly - we miss you!)

  • That was one of the greatest things about the Muppets. For all their craziness they were introducing kids to culture in their own insane way. Think about it. How many kids would sit still for an opera, but an opera with Muppets?? ;- )

  • Ahhh, but he's a good freak! "- D
