Long ago, the Elder Gods split his consciousness and created the realms, as well as the Kamidogu. Any creature who fuses the Kamidogu does not, per say, become the One Being, but is merely used as a vessel to reunite his consciousness.

I thought when I first bought this 6 years ago that this ending was very awesome to be put in the game, and only will help to make the idea that Onaga was in fact, something more beyond the realms...and that his existence was something really powerful and threatening...
...nowadays, I think in fact that this was a lame and predictable ending that just would have ruined his image as a powerful being...

@thekillerwaldo I found the audio searching on the web, is part of a ripped soundtrack for this game (the audio is exactly the same you find on the koffins containing the images on the krypt).
