Has anyone noticed that unlike the other hand drawing cartoons, in this one the hand has a feather pen instead of a standard pencil and the cuff is replaced with ruffles, maybe to fit with the romantic setting for this drawing.

Hooray for severed hands and 1-point perspective!

@Garrettk41 i, too, remember the music being much better as a child. i think you're right, it's probably due to the sound quality. there's barely any base. i remembered the beautiful music to this animation and searched for it for years. hopefully a better copy will surface, or it will end up being included on a vintage sesame street dvd. anyone know when this clip came out, what season, etc?

his music is so inspired by nick drake!!!
Does anyone know what it is???

Thanks to little things like this on SS, I grew up with a real appreciation for various types of music.

Was that a prince?

That's a good point. If it really was roses with thorns that she threw at him, then she was not being a very careful and not a very nice girlfriend to her boyfriend throwing roses with thorns at him causing the thorns to poke him in the mouth.

Maybe the flowers she threw were roses, & he stabbed his mouth on the thorns. LOL!
I don't know if I ever found this clip spooky, but I used to think that after the guitarist put the flowers in his teeth, he looked angry! Did anyone else think that?
