its not a repaire engine..... its a replacement

And don;t ask for KIA engine... ask for a Rover 2.5 engine, there easier to find and much cheaper.

$2k + give another $1.5-2k labor and you have yourself a car that has a 1/3 chance of dieing, but make it look good and sell asap.

i'm not an idiot who takes out a loan they can't afford...

If the engine was faulty after 6months new, kia would replace it, so dont blame this on kia. buyer beware, 2nd hand cars are a lucky dip no surprise there

you have got to be joking! if you can get an engine repaired for 2,000 tell us where! as for your attitude towards my sisters family! she lives near her family for support, she can afford the loan but i'd like to know who can afford a loan on a car thats motor blows up after just 6 months, and no car yard is going to offer much of a trade for a car thats motor has blown up in! its so easy for naive people to pass judgement!

So let me get this straight??? This video was posted in 2007, show aired in october 2007,

The car is a 6 year old 2001 model 2nd hand, god knows what it's been through...

What do you expect from a 2nd hand car?

And it doesn't cost $10 000 for the engine to be repaired, it'll be $2k for a brand new engine from kia (less for used), maybe another $1.5 k for labour.

And atleast kia will have to honour their engine for some period of time...

Why take out a loan on a car you can't afford, also tell your sister to get on the pill if she cant afford 6 kids.

Trade the car in for another car and stop having a cry.

Its unfortunate the boy has a heart condition but really if it was that important she really should either move closer to medical care or find a way to get a reliable car.

i cant believe what has happened to my sisters Kia! a huge loan, 6 children, no car and a little boy with heart problems that needs a hospital that he cant get too!

I have had 2 kias...a 2005 KIA Sedona LX i paid 18000usd and a 2006 Kia Rio LX i paid 12k...Both cars have 49k miles and have given me no issues..I strongly beleive kia makes good quality cars (the 98-02 carnivals had this issue the 02 and up have motors made with mitsubishi) watch i have never had any issue and if you look on my youtube page you will know i abuse my cars...the only diffrence is i take care of my cars oil changes ect ect..
