So You Want To Get A FFL...

Just a quick video giving an overview of the steps necessary to procure an 01 or 02 FFL.

Here's the detailed info I promised.


All this information can be found, FOR FREE, by going to http://www.atf.gov/firearms/how-to/become-an-ffl.html


How to get your FFL:

Call the Distribution Center at (202) 648-6420.

Tell them you need the following forms:


ATF F 5310.12 (Form 7)


ATF F 5330.20 — Certification of Compliance

Two FD--258 (Fingerprint Identification Card) for each person to be listed as a Responsible Person on the FFL.

Fill out the forms correctly.

Get your fingerprints taken (INK ONLY, NO ELECTRONIC).

Send forms, two passport photos, and $200.00 to the ATF.

A question. I visited one of those "premium" FFL websites and the draw that it had for me is they say like ' 90% of people who apply for FFL get rejected, if you buy this we will teach you how to ace the application, as well as the interview with the ATF agent and you are guaranteed to get your FFL" I was wondering if there was any truth to these claims. Does the ATF really reject 90% of their applicants? It is true you can apply once in a lifetime?

Great advice, I would add be sure to TRIPLE CHECK your zoning rules and comply. Check with the zoning commission or whoever has the last word on that one.

I want to personally thank you keeping it REAL on the discounts or wholesale pricing.
