Well if you use mob grip then that will happen.

I've had three pairs of Nike tre's each pair has lasted more than a year.

my pair if tres were amazing. lasted me longer than any other shoe. of course not two years, thats just crazy, but they lasted me a good year (no skating in the winter) they took a long time for me to rip through the toe cap, but the heel i was a little disappointed in. im a big heelflip guy, and the tongue of the shoe rips open and all the stuffing comes out, which is a pain to deal with. nothing a little duct tape couldnt handle though.
