A mailman stops a runaway car with a toddler inside. This segment was taken from Episode 223, a 90-minute episode, which aired on March 26, 1991 on CBS. This particular version of the segment was taken from a 30-minute syndicated episode, so small parts of it may have been cut out to make room for commercials.

  • is this show still on

  • No, it was cancelled in 1996. Reruns sometimes come on cable/satellite channels, but reruns of Rescue 911 haven't been shown in the U.S. since 2005.

  • Whare did you get all of these episodes?

  • I taped them when the show aired.

  • Why did they take rescue 911 off the air?

  • That is really sad when good shows go.. 911 was one of them.. I remember watching when I was little... brings back memories

  • I do actually. It's quite simple: if someone is in distress, I help. You don't just stand there if a kid is in danger

  • Nice one mail man for trusting whoever/whatever it was that told you that you were the only one who could do something

  • neither rain nor snow nor... runaway cars..

  • OMG that mom is DUMB! you *NEVER* leave a car running w/ a kid in it!!!! omg!

  • when you are scared shitless and your adrinaline is going, u'd be suprised what you can do.

  • never leave a child unattended in a car with the keys in the ignition or in a car alone
