@naturegirl751 These are canaries, not parrots. Parrots are very different, have a hooked beak and have 2 toes point forward and 2 pointing back. These are passerines like finches and sparrows - Thanks for the question!

Miners use to drop caged canaries in mines just to check out before they got dropped down in lifts...Majority of those birds DIED

@datvsbling1 First be sure one is a hen - sometimes birds are sold as hens but are actually non-singing males. Have you seen any eggs produced? (infertile eggs can be laid by lone hens). Also be sure it is the right time of year, generally start around Christmas/New yr in US. If she is not in condition she will not accept a male.
