One of my alltime favorites! Not as famous as boogie down bronx or hip hop bebop but, in time, still a classic!
Played this as a first track on a party last year and when this track was spinning 2 youngsters asked me already what the name and artist of this record was :-)
Man Parrish, one of the best and innovative producers of all time!

Classic stuff. Parrish rates up there with Kraftwerk & YMO

This song just suddenly popped into my head the other day for the first time since the 80's. Was so pleased to find it here and hear it again. Great stuff!

@SuperBagshot You can hear it nearly the whole song.
That high voice that starts out at about 0:54 that gets more coherent as the song goes along is Klaus'.

YEAH!! '....Seven cups of coffee keep you up all day, so six simple synthesizers play and play and play....' KRAFTWERK and MORODER type sounds, Klaus Nomi on vocals, clever lyrics- it's all good. TechnoTrax is also brilliant. 1982. Good album. :]

according to wikipedia the vocoder, was first used on the film a clockwork orange by transexual wendy carlos! another weirdity is that klaus nomi voice is on this track somewhere.
