@themirrorsofmymind Thanks for answering my question! That makes sense. I know Nancy Curlee had plans for the character which never happened. Given that Tangie's parents were spies and she kept her background a secret it makes sense that she would be in that role. Too bad they didn't write her this way, as the way they did write her was so damn dull.

@CarlD2 I think I read in Soap Opera Digest, around the time this was originally broadcast, that the character of 'Tangie Hill' was envisioned as a major schemer, who would shake things up in Springfield. Her lurking was supposed to be related to things she knew, secrets. However, for whatever reason, it just never materialized. I could be wrong though. It has been a long time.
