We can learn how to deal with our fears and the emotions that arise from them byunderstanding the mental processes that are associated with our fears, how we think and act in certain ways when we are confronted with difficult circumstances that seem to destabilize our lives and the things we love dearly, From a spiritual perspective, the very experience of fear is an indication of lack of faith. We suffer from fear when we do not have faith in our selves and in God. We suffer from fear when we belive we are all alone in the world, and that we have to fight our battles all alone. Fear is also caused by our attachment and clinging. We can deal with our fearsin a meaningful way by becomeing aware of them. Unless we bring out our feras to the surface and look at them carefully with complete attention we will not be able to understand the underlying causes and deal with them effectively. If we succeed in brining out our fears, into the open into our wakeful consciousness, we have won the battle against our fears and by understanding how our attachments interfere with our lives. We can learn to respond differently to the fearful thoughts that arise in our minds. The deep rooted, deep seated fears can be effectively removed through awareness, through visualization and through detachment. And by developing fatih in our selvles and in the eternal self, that is also present in us as our individual self
