  • word. i ended up buying a DOFadapter and running a 50mm f1.8 on my hf20 now... i can get the look too ;)

  • @peisen yeah i got an older model jag for cheap with the vibrating screen. looks incredible. 110% worth the money.

  • @DoctorIncredible A big part of how he's getting the film look is shallow DOF. Either he has a 35mm adapter or he has positioned his subject far from the background, with the camera zoomed in. That creates the blurry background which mimics a film lens' shallow depth of field.

    The other thing that makes this look more cinematic is that it is lit very well with bright natural light. That combined with the little color correction mentioned in the description is the answer to your question
