These STOL designed (think of mountain/jungle unimproved short airstrip)aircraft typically have very steep approaches so the roll out will be short and they won't eat trees or whatever is on end of runway and that is why these types of ac have very robust shock absorbing landing gear and you notice the gear did a commendable job of soaking up shock. With more agressive braking this could have been a 400' rollout which is very short.

the approach was too steep. im not sure tho if this was done in purpose.

@luigimanzanares - It's a STOL airplane so steep approaches are typical (though the hard landing is not so typical :)
