The cosmetics are for us, so they should test them on us, simple. Just because animals can't speak up for themselves, doesn't mean we can abuse them or treat them as dispensable objects that are in some way lesser than us. They are living, breathing creatures, with just as much right to be here as us. Any cruelty to animals is abhorrent, and the perpetrators should be locked up.

not PETA is worse. PETA objectifies women in so many of their ad campaigns and it's sickening. I'm completely anti-animal testing and animal cruelty, of course, but the using a woman's body and degrading and shaming that body, in all the ways that PETA has done (google PETA sexist adverts), is not the way to put an end to the suffering of animals. Instead it just perpetuates other problems that are present in society and confuses the issue.

You're actually an idiot. The difference is that bacteria, cells, plants ect. are not sentient, while animals absolutely are. Animals that are capable of a full range of emotions and that are capable of feeling pain are tortured and tested on every day.

Also, she never even said you can't kill animals. She said it's wrong to TORTURE them. Read a little next time before you start running your mouth and embarrass yourself.

In March of this year the European Union banned cosmetics experiments on animals. The ban covers both the finished product and the active ingredients. In vitro modalities of research were developed and introduced as replacements for animals.

Although your point of view is respectable, can you imagine all the vulnerable PEOPLE that will subjected to this,we constantly see many HUMAN rights violations in countries with relatively good structures in this department,if we did test cosmetics on humans who would be our test subjects? Please tell me which humans should be tested on.This is not the message Lush was perusing I'm sure, what they don't give us is more info on the ALTERNATIVES,this seems a little one sided, but noble none the less.

And if that testing would be done with a man, then it would be objectifying men? Woman, I think is much more suitable than a man for this testing, because a lot less people would feel empathy for a man, than a woman. If you want to stop extreme wrongs in now days, you have to act extreme, get real, there is genocide going on in every country of this planet for centuries, and you think one girl's hair is more important than millions of lives? And she is volunteer.

Why do you think cosmetics need animal testing? Ever thought about that? Today's cosmetics are full of chemical poison, it makes women to get old ridiculously fast in order to buy some more poison to hide decaying. Today's cosmetics is one of the biggest insults to women, if not the biggest. All cosmetics should be eatable, because skin absorbs, I don't see any ladies eating lipsticks. Get real, get out of the lie system.

First of all, animals and plants die horrible deaths in nature. They are torn apart. Second, if it is all for nothing all this animal testing then why do they do it? Just for fun? No, they are trying to prevent PEOPLE from being harmed. So decide which are more important, people or animals. If you think animals are more important or equally important, then you chose wrong. Lush dont test their shit, so when their cheap crap gives people cancer I guess then know who to blame.

lol yeah, next time she uses soap on her hands, remind her that she's murdering hundreds of bacteria.

Bacteria have rights too... guess it shows how large HER ego is by killing those innocent germs! haha
