Onboard my BVM Bandit (powered by a RAM750 turbine engine). This plane has been measured on radar with a 2-way average top speed of 252mph. These days, though, the AMA limits turbine models to 200mph so I throttle back and follow the rules.

  • Is this a good first turbine jet?

  • The Bandit is an awesome plane and goes exactly where you point it. It has no bad habits so that would make it a good first jet provided that you were prepared to throttle back a bit. I've had mine on radar at 252mph which is (now) not allowed in the US (200 max). If you've had some high performance experience you'll love the Bandit.

  • Reply to gsoav8r... The FlyCamOne was mounted firmly under the fuselage. The camera head itself pivots 90 degrees to look forward. The pivot isn't very tight and the drag from a couple of high speed passes caused it to pivot back slightly putting the underside of the fuselage out of view.

I hope you enjoyed the video. This plane is an awesome "ride".

  • Love the speed, and that flying location is awesome! There's just not any open space like that around here.

  • 3:21 was a close call in my eyes.. WOW

  • Hi, great vid. i have just got a classic bandit and a flycamone 2, any chance of sending me a pic of how you mounted the camera?

  • amazing! ive always wanted to see what it was like onboard an rc jet!

  • Very nice ride.

I had watched this a few times and just noticed that at about 3 minutes into the vid the bottom of the fuse falls from view. Guess the FlyCamOne got a little loose??

    Cheers.
