Les Goulamas'k proposent "un rock péchu et coloré". Le groupe a créé un véritable mescladis (mélange) de toutes les musiques: rock, ska, fanfare, peña, flamenco, hard-rock, punk...

La musique des Goulamas'k emprunte beaucoup au rythme du ska mais en y mêlant une touche plus ensoleillée que dans les îles britanniques. Si le groupe peut être assimilé à la mouvance des groupes occitans comme les Fabulous Trobadors ou Massilia Sound System, la musique dégage une énergie nettement plus rythmique que les autres, proche du ska-rock ou même du ska-punk. Il n'est pas rare de voir les spectateurs d'un concert des Goulamas'k danser un pogo ou même s'adonner aux joies du stage-diving. Une musique plus "violente" donc, moins ragga que les Massilia, et des textes très revendicatifs. Par ailleurs, les Goulamas'k n'hésitent pas à injecter une dose de sons de la garrigue de Piquetalen (un mas situé au nord de la commune de Puisserguier) dans leurs CD, ainsi que des chansonnettes enfantines.

Les Goulamas'k expriment un rejet de la bureaucratie parisienne, ou tout au moins étatique et centralisatrice, et oppose à la France jacobine une idée de fédération des régions, prenant en compte les cultures locales, mais sans pour autant rejeter le mélange ethnique. Au contraire même, les paroles des Goulamas'k sont radicalement antifascistes, antiracistes et prônent la tolérance et le respect des autres. Les Goulamas'k n'oublient pas pour autant leurs racines et font régulièrement l'apologie de leur culture: lo papet (dans lo Paissèl), le vin rouge du Languedoc (dans Lo Mòl, lo vin e la vinha en Oc son ligats coma los òmes e la tèrra :" le vin et la vigne sont liés en oc comme les hommes à la terre".), la garrigue où chantent les cigales (dans Coinçat, Coinçat dins un pais entre Tolosa e Marselha al mièg de la garriga al còr de l'Occitània: "Coincés dans un pays entre Toulouse et Marseille, au milieu de la garrigue, au cœur de l'Occitanie", c'est Piquetalen, derrière la colline de Saint-Christophe à Puisserguier où le groupe se retrouve souvent.), et encore la chichoumée ou chichomèia, (la ratatouille). Les textes du groupe sont chantés en plusieurs langues: l'occitan, langue sinon maternelle toujours très présente et matrice du groupe, est la plus mise en avant; cependant, les Goulamas'k chantent aussi en Français, en Catalan et en Castillan. Par contre, aucune chanson en anglais pour l'instant, pas même au niveau de reprises en fin de concert (a part un refrain sur SDF).
