  • This is the AP2 for a number of reasons:

    1. The gauge cluster is clearly AP2. It redlines at 8000rpm and the tachometer is not as long as it is in the AP1 (It doesn't make a complete arc across the cluster).

    2. There is obviously a clutch delay valve, an AP2 only feature. The dude is driving just fine, but that damned clutch delay valve makes the best clutch work sound like utter dogshit.

Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed it and I hope you are one day able to obtain an S2K! What a great ride!

  • What's a clutch delay valve? What does it do?

  • How do you know it's an AP2? You could be right, I never asked the guy what year it is. If you know what model it is just from what little you can see of the dashboard then you deserve props :)

  • as antijersey said the redline is different and the radio cover on the AP2 is silver whearas on the AP1 is black (unless he changed it) and also the buttons on the stearing wheel were not available on the ap1 ')

  • Nice! Very astute of you guys to point out these things. I'm impressed.

  • Nice video of legs crammed into the dash

  • hahahah...at the end he was like "wow, u can hear the engine"...that was my exact same thought when i redlined my first S..man s2000's and there owner's usually tend to be awsome!!!!

  • @d350z92 no hes an amateur, I have a 2006 s2000 and mine NEVER sounds like that...... I have NEVER had a problem with shifting gears.

  • @r0ckworthy It doesn't let you release the clutch faster than it wants you to. It literally delays your clutch action. The reason it sounds like he is destroying the clutch in the begininning is not because he is an amateur, but because that CDV is slowing down the action of his clutch release and causing his clutch to slip. It's a stupid piece to stop apes from destroying bits and pieces when running from stoplight to stoplight. Pain in the ass when parking too.

  • HONDA POWER

  • When I test drive cars, I really test drive them. Most people do not fully test drive their cars. You need to test drive for these things; low/high speed, smooth/rough roads, roads with severe elevation changes, and you will see all that the engineer's deeds have been done properly. When I test drove the S2000, I could not be more amazed at how well it handles (not only at the limit) but how liveable it is compared to the BMW Z4 which has HORRIBLE ride quality and not much quicker to boot.

  • I didn believe at first how short thro the stick was but wow haha

  • @r0ckworthy

it's also got the leather wrapped shift knob which is an ap2 thing

  • he said can u feel the other engine? lol.. ya i can hear it too. hahaha. nd that my friend is what u call, V-Tech. (: ohhhh yeaaa
