North South Foundation (NSF) is a non-profit voluntary organization that awards scholarships to qualified and needy students in India entering colleges regardless of religion, gender, caste or creed. The Scholarship program in India is designed to encourage excellence among the poor. It is targeted at qualified, needy students entering college.
More than 800 students of Indian heritage from all over the United States of America participated in the 2010 national finals of the North South Foundation's various academic contests including those in spelling, vocabulary, math, geography, essay writing, public speaking and the Brain Bee National Championships, August 20 to 22, 2010, in the Student Center at Rowan University, Glassboro, N.J.
