@loly1969 I suppose the hidden guy playing the keyboard at the beginning must be so ugly so that he hides under the organ! kiddin...

@TedBoyRomarino That was the keyboard tech at the time as Knopfler had to start playing guitar before the organ part finished. He used to 'hide' under the organ to do this!

Smashing stuff, this always reminds me of my home town (Whitley Bay) and the Spanish City fairground where, circa 1971, in our early teens, we tried in vain to pick up girls (a case of fast women and loose motorcycles!). The town is now a sad relic of a byegone age when people flocked from all over for seaside holidays. Mr Knopfler, you have illuminated my life for 34 years now. Bless all who appreciate real music.

@jOntzhor - I agree that Mark's guitar is too quiet at the beginning of the song, and that the top 'E' string goes flat towards the end of the song. I thought this when I first heard this version on the Dire Straits Live At The BBC album

whose is that hand at the organ at 0:39????
By the way, this is the first time i've seen Mr. Knopfler playing other instrument than the guitar!
