Some speed runs with my Traxxas Slash running Velineon and Trakpower Lipo 3s 4.900 mAh. Too much power and too much wind makes the Slash fly...

  • I just clocked my Slash today at 48.5 mph with my phone GPS.Why are the Rustler and Bandit faster? Are they lighter or geared differently?

  • @illchilla09 I believe that they have the same gearbox. So the main difference is most likey spur/pinion, and the fact that the Slash simply is not build for high speed - bad aerodynamics.

  • how fast do you think it is going

  • @AirsoftDemon1: I think about 80 km/h (50 mph). The topspeed has been measured to 86 km/h (53 mph).

  • do u have low voltage protection on? my vxl rustler goes into protection on a 3s lipo at 4.2 volts per cell

  • yes, of course - I have not had any problems with the lipo protection.

Dont' know how low the batt. runs down, but it can be charged with full capacity.

  • take off the body to make speed run !

  • Hey are you from Denmark ?:D

  • I hve a slash with a 5700kv SV2 and a 5400mah 3s, what gear ratio should i use?

  • get a 5000mah 11.1 volt 20 cell lipo it will go about as fast as the rustler and mabey faster i have a slash and i can beat a rustler in a race

  • it is 4x4?

  • @cattrucking my battery is a 11.1 volt lipo it works fine now

  • @carguyzo6 the car it self can only handle 3.7 volts per cell so get a battery rated to that

  • @cattrucking yes I know but lipo cells hold more than 3.7 volts at a full charge. they hold more around 12.6 for the first little while until the battery runs down some. the problem is fixed now and I don't use my car anymore.

  • @carguyzo6 its only made for 11.1 volts

  • @illchilla09 the big gap in the slash body is one big air pocket, so its actin almost like a parachute.
