i think what current cartoons are missing is the show being watchable for adults so they watch it with their children and ENJOY it TOGETHER. Obviously most of us had no idea that they were parodying Goodfellas and Raging bull (both of which were R rated movies), but that wasn't intended for us, we enjoyed the slapstick and silliness while our parents could appreciate the clever movie references and parodies. :)
