the constitution was written in english a couple hundred years ago.

the Bible was written in hebrew(?) thousands and thousands of years ago.

comparing the two is like apples and hand grenades - and unless you're reading the original document in its original language, your version is as skewed as mine, 4% or not.

@YougotAIDZ123 It is so hard to argue with facts. Facts are stubborn entities. Nevertheless we have a lot of people who believe the world is very young.

@itiswrittenbaptist The world isnt over 6,000 years old... it's alot more older than that actually. Just because he was taught at a "Godless" school doesnt mean they're wrong. This is why I hate religion, always shoving their beliefs down other peoples throats, and whatever they say against it is wrong.

@itiswrittenbaptist So you believe the earth is the center of the solar system as the literalists in the early church understood the Bible to say? Reason has to be a part of the interpretive process. Reason and reliance upon empirical observation. Otherwise our faith goes in weird and irrational directions. Of course that is part of the reason there are thousands of denominations. Each person has faith in their own understanding of scripture and they are accountable to no authority...
