  • Lol I don't consider my self a "phan"

But I love the show and the movie.

I couldn't believe the mediocre plot

Alw came up for this sequel. Reminds

Of Soap-Opera. I find it a waste of talent

    And money.

  • This show is horrid. Stop saying all Phans are exited we are not! I have been Phan for over 18 years and my boyfriend has seen it in more places in the world then any one. He even won an award for how many times he's see the original show. This is a mockery of the Characters which Gaston Leroux wrote about in his novel that ALW based his Characters off of. He's rolling in his grave.

  • Attended a preview last week and have to say it was the most terrible show I have ever seen. Terrible music (most of the time) terrible story and remarkably crass. No magic, no spectacle. Was rather like watching a bad amateur dramatic performance - I was cringing all the way through and couldn't wait to get out.

Was looking forward to the show, but left very disappointed indeed.

  • The fans backlash in view of this crime against musical theatre is to be expected. Finding a handful of fans and telling them to say how much they love Phantom is hardly representative of how good this musical is. Answer? Not very. Audience laugher during the "serious" moments is never a good thing.

  • I'm sure that RUG didn't have to pay these phans to say what they do, but I'm equally sure that they were carefully chosen.

That one young man says it if Love Never Dies is as good as the original it would be a phenomenon. He's wrong; it would be a miracle.

  • Actually much to the disappoinment of many Phans we don't much care for anything to do with carring on the story of a man who disappeared when his true love picked another man. So thanks but we're good. We would do more than fine without its exsistance.

  • This isn't a view that's representative of the views of all the Phans. I wish to propose that this is the minority of fans that feel this way. Anybody who knows the storyline and heard the songs of the previews are far from enthused.

  • Horrid idea!!!! We can wait, keep the POTO as it is, get rid of that ridiculous idea!! We don't want our beloved Phantom to be a rapist and Raoul to be a drunk!! Terrible...!

  • Sorry ALW and RUG - two huge thumbs down from a Phan since 1986 - how dare you make a dark, sensual character into a laughable rapist and how could you make Raoul into a drunk?? Shame on you, we CAN WAIT - we hope the Phantom of the Opera continues over here in the US and Love CAN die over in London!

  • Actually...a great majority of phans have not been wanting a sequel.

I could care less about the music...the plot of LOVE NEVER DIES is detrimental to the plot and motivations of the original story.

ALW is cashing in on the success of his first show...note how none of the other originals are involved, thus making this a cash-in.
