it's the best recording i've heard...the only one with the right moderate character and gentle atmosphere...not a race or virtuosity like many others are used to do

Sometimes one forgets just how great Arrau could be, because his playing became stodgy, overly cautious and too deliberate in latter years, but his set of Chopin Etudes ranks among the greatest achievements in the field.
This is just beautiful.
