I like the Blender, I use it with pleasure, but this movie outright false, so my vote against it!

it all depends on the artist, just cause you buy a 1000 dollar program or can afford it , doesnt mean you can make 1000 dollar picture, it might be the best program but does it come with the skills?

as much as this video is bias, im taught maya in uni as its industry standard, then i put what i learnt into blender and found it easier to use blender in most aspects, even its layout. but we all have our own opinion, its more to do with the artist than the program, tho if you know how to make the most of more than one program your laughing.

3ds max is overpriced and sometimes underestimated. Both are phenomenal programs but 3ds max uses the same old mainstream interface. Blender mixes it up, tons of shortcuts, you barely need to click. 1 vote for blender here.

Top and bottom is they are both awesome programs capable of unbelievable stuff, I prefer Blender as I`ve found it easier to pick up the techniques. Although when I tried max it was an older version, probs 10x better now than it was but Ill be sticking to blender thank you..and thanks to team at blender.org..love you guys ;)

That's what I thought you were going for, just worded a little confusingly. Lol, I agree. Which ever program an artist chooses they should be comfortable with and confident in their skill to use it that is (almost) all ways the determining factor for quality of work.

@Leadman1989 I am saying that even though I have the option of using MAYA, i still use Blender. This shows that price has no real influence in my program choice.
