Down 7-0 in this game, the Rays clawed back to 7-6 against the New York Yankees on 9/28/11, and this homer off of Scott Proctor, with two outs and two strikes on pinch-hitter Johnson in the bottom of the ninth inning, tied the game. The Rays ultimately won the game on Evan Longoria's 12th inning home run and clinched the 2011 American League Wild Card on the heels of the collapse of Boston Red Sox, who led the Rays by 9 games on September 3rd.

  • @toontownwiz2 the building was packed at the 7th inning then when there first rally died about 10,000 people left, they were down 7-0 after the 7th, I mean who wouldn't leave after that....And for Game 4 against Texas in ALDS, MLB changed the time on that game, they were sold out for a 7:00p.m. game then it was changed to 2 and everyone was working, you cant' blame the fans for that!

  • It's a shame that the Rays are having such stadium problems. At least the fans that do show up to Tropicana are passionate about their team.

  • I think this is Longoria's homer in the 8th because there are runners on base. Regardless of the situation, an amazing night. I still get chills.
