Something kinda like this just happened to me. I was running an XMSeller tail boom from cnchelicopter and on my T-Rex 450SE V2 and the fit was just a hair loose letting my belt slacken just enough to slip under high torque. Result was the same except I have a broken OEM landing gear .

Yep, my tail assembly gear came loose during my flight and I was unable to keep it out of the drink. See video response

I can't say I had this Happen, but I had the Transmitter Loose Com with my Blade 400, I had no Control what so ever, and it Flipped upside Down and Crashed into the Roof of a Truck Completely Destorying the Helicopter
Cost over $350.00 to replace it
only thing I was able to save was the Gyro & the Esc
Hope you get it Figured out
Rich D....
I never did find out what Happened Either

Oh man, sorry about the crash, Kyle. But it was hardly much at all that happened bad. Ya can't say you didn't at least try to prevent any mishaps. The heli hobby is a love/hate relationship for almost all of us.
Possibly the small gear that the belt goes around came loose, that happened on my trex 450. I took it out (requires taking the frame apart to get in there) and added loctite that solves it.

You know I didn't think of that but I checked it now and it seems tight. I still have not broken it down to see what happened. It has been a busy sumnmer :) Thanks for the tip though!

I had something eerily similar happen not too long ago. I never did find out what happened. However my crash caused a lot more damage.

Yeah I was pretty lucky I was upright and close to the ground. That would have really sucked if I was up high flipping and rolling and it started piroing out of control. The damage would have been much more substantial. I have not yet had a chance to break it down and see if I can figure out what happened. I will post a video when I do.
