I tear up every time I hear this. I'm only 19 and there is so much history I missed, such as the Cold War, AIDS being discovered, Elvis, etc. Wish I could experience the events mentioned here first hand.

It also saddens me that people of my generation don't really pay attention to the news or have an interest in history. I fear for our lives in the next few decades but at the same time, I believe things will become better.

@daninnj For what we missed in the 20th Century, we shall live to see it in the 21st. That's the thing about history, you don't know it's going to happen until it does. Thus, we shall write our own story for future generations to study.

@Movin2Elite the problem is that their is so much negativity in the world. that its sometimes its hard to c the good. u have to force ur self for some people 2 c the good. Also, its dosen't help when people make negative comments about things that say theirs nothing else for anyone to do, but we can improve our own technology and help others and make the world a better place.

@DML2451 What in the world is wrong with you? Do you ACTUALLY think people living in that time thought they were in history? I hate to break it to you lad, but for 90% of the population it was just another day...We worked, paid rent, and watched the news, IN FACT, ppl in the 50s wished they lived back in the 1800s when America was "pure". So You want to know what else is their? Well ull find out in 30 years when other "kids" start posting the "how much I wish I lived in the 90s era" bid.

@Movin2Elite well what else is their? Except on improving things we already have. That and having no other significant events except 4 new presidents, and other bad stuff 2 come as the world turns older and we all become less wiser of what's goin on because its all bad anyway.

Yeah.....the last century was so...epic, for want of better word. They did EVERYTHING. Learned to fly, learned to go to space, invented radio, atomic energy, TV, internet......there's nothing left for us to do this century, lol.
